CostMyTrip does not ask you to create an account, and it does not ask for your name, phone number or email address in order to plan a trip.
What is stored on your device
Your trip details (route, dates, travellers, transport choices), My Expenses entries, packing checklist, custom places, language and tour progress are saved in your own browser's local storage so your plan is still there next time. This data stays on your device and is not sent to our servers. Clearing your browser's site data erases it.
Trip links
When you use the share option, your trip is encoded into the link itself. Anyone who opens that link can see the trip details in it. Share it only with people you want to see your plan.
Feedback and email
If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply and to improve the site.
Advertising and third-party services
We plan to show ads from Google AdSense on this site. When ads are switched on, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads, and visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland will be asked for consent first. You will be able to opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings. This policy will be updated when ads go live.
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the fonts are requested.
Children
CostMyTrip is a general travel tool and is not directed at children under 13.
