Outstation taxi fare calculator
See how kilometres, trip days and extra charges add up. Use your operator’s rates to estimate a one-way or return taxi journey.
How the taxi fare is calculated
Total = billable km × rate + driver allowance × days + all extra charges entered.
Example: 300 km one way, 1 billed day, 250 minimum km/day and ₹14/km gives ₹4,200 distance fare. Add ₹400 driver allowance and ₹300 total tolls: ₹4,900. All values are illustrative assumptions.
Why a short trip can cost more per kilometre
For a 100 km journey over 3 billed days with a 250 km/day minimum, the billable distance is 750 km. At ₹14/km plus ₹400/day driver allowance, that is ₹11,700 before any extras you enter.
The ₹14/km, 250 km/day and ₹400/day defaults match the existing CostMyTrip cab model. This tool lets you enter actual total extras instead of estimating tolls or border fees. See our methodology and source limitations.
Before you accept a taxi quote
Are these live taxi prices?
No. Rates are editable planning assumptions. Vehicle class, location, dates and operator policies affect the quote. Ask for a written breakdown.
Does the calculator add GST or tolls automatically?
No. Enter any applicable tax amount and extra charges confirmed by the operator. Zero means nothing has been added, not that the charge is waived.
Is the daily minimum always charged?
No. Billing rules differ. Use the minimum and day count supplied by your operator, or set minimum km per day to 0 when it does not apply.
Is this a booking form?
No. Nothing is booked or sent to an operator. Your entries are used on this page for the calculation.
Driving your own car instead?
Estimate fuel and charging costs separately.
