Some CostMyTrip pages may show tour packages from independent travel operators, marked Partner listing. This page explains what those listings are, what we check, what we don't, and how we may be paid.
Our role
CostMyTrip is a trip planning and cost-estimate website. For partner listings we act only as an advertiser and referrer: we show the operator's package and a button that opens WhatsApp so you can contact the operator directly. We are not the tour operator, travel agent or seller, we do not take bookings or payments, and we are not a party to your contract with the operator.
Who handles bookings, payments and refunds
The operator. Quotes, confirmation, payments, changes, cancellations and refunds are between you and the operator, under the operator's own terms. Ask for the final quote and the cancellation and refund policy in writing before you pay.
Commission
CostMyTrip may earn a commission from the operator if you book after contacting them through a partner listing. The commission is agreed in writing with each operator before a listing is published. We do not say that commission has no effect on the price you pay unless our written agreement with that operator supports it; if a listing makes that statement, it is because the agreement does.
What we check before a listing goes live
- The operator's business name and a contact number, checked against documents or records the operator provides.
- Written permission to show the operator's name, logo, photos and package details.
- A written agreement covering commission and how referred enquiries are identified.
- That each package has the required details: duration, itinerary, inclusions and exclusions, hotel category and room sharing, transport and its limits, meal plan, the price and what it is based on, taxes and compulsory charges, quote date and validity, and payment, cancellation, refund and change policies. A package without a confirmed price and basis is shown as Request a quote.
What these checks do not mean
Our checks confirm that the listing information was supplied by the operator and recorded by us on the date shown. They do not mean that CostMyTrip has inspected hotels, vehicles or services, guarantees availability or quality, or verified the operator's licences beyond the records we were given. We do not show “trusted” or “verified” badges, ratings or reviews on partner listings.
Prices and dates
- Prices are supplied by the operator, with the date they were quoted and the travel period they are valid for, shown next to the price.
- “From ₹” is used only for a genuine starting price, with its conditions shown.
- When a price passes its validity date, it is hidden automatically and the card shows Request a quote. When a listing passes its review date, the whole listing is hidden until it is re-checked.
- Package prices are never added to CostMyTrip estimates or to your planner budget.
How listings are chosen and ordered
We list packages that fit the destination page and pass the checks above. On a page, listings are ordered by trip length (shortest first) and then by the date they were last reviewed. Payment does not buy a higher position.
Your privacy
The WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp with a message containing only the package name and its reference. Nothing is sent until you press send in WhatsApp, and we never add your budget, dates, name or phone number. You can choose to add your own note before opening WhatsApp. We count clicks on the button, without personal data, to see which listings are useful. See our privacy policy.
Report a listing
If a listing is wrong, misleading, out of date, or you had a problem with an operator, use the Report this listing link on the card or email contact@costmytrip.in. We may pause a listing while we look into a report, and we remove listings that break these rules.
